DET Apprentice - Production

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor Kaltenbach drilling and band saw machines for structural steel cutting.

  • Perform drilling, cutting operations as per drawings.

  • Interpret structural drawings and cutting lists.

  • Set up machine parameters (length, angle, hole position, etc.).

  • Conduct trial runs and verify dimensions before batch production.

  • Ensure material identification and traceability.

  • Maintain daily production reports.

  • Follow safety standards and machine operating procedures.

  • Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning.

  • Coordinate with quality and fabrication teams.

Required Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of structural steel fabrication

  • Ability to read drawings

  • Understanding of measuring instruments (Vernier, Tape, Bevel gauge)

  • Basic CNC machine knowledge

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Willingness to work in A,B,and C shifts

Qualification:

  • Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Fabrication Engineering (Must not have any active backlog, Passing Year - 2026 / 2025 / 2024 / 2023)
